Kharkiv Pharmaceutical Enterprise “Zdorovye Narodu” LLC was founded in 2007. The company manufactures narcotic analgesics as well as products of other pharmacological groups: neuroleptics, local anaesthetics, centrally acting analgesics, medicines used in cardiology and angiology, antitussives, medicines acting on the digestive system and metabolism, and opioid antagonists. Developing and introducing the latter was an important step in addressing the social problem of treating drug addiction and alcoholism.
The predecessor of the company, the Kharkiv State Pharmaceutical Enterprise “Zdorovye Narodu”, was founded in 1995 when Ukraine’s largest pharmaceutical plant “Zdorovye Trudiashchym” was divided into two independent enterprises: Pharmaceutical Firm “Zdorovye” LLC and the Kharkiv State Pharmaceutical Enterprise “Zdorovye Narodu”.
In 1995–1999 the production of ampoule products was introduced — an important step in helping patients with acute and chronic pain and in treating drug addiction, alcoholism, and mental and neurological disorders.
From 2003 the company began producing new medicines in tablets and capsules, and a syrup production line was introduced. In 2006 production of Codeterp and Pentased tablets and Bioflorax and Codefemol syrups began. In the same year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the enterprise entered the TOP-20 manufacturers of Ukraine.
The company plans to introduce innovative and modern technologies that keep production compliant with GMP, to improve its service, and to develop and introduce new medicines in the following therapeutic groups: psychotropic and anticonvulsant drugs; analgesics; substitution therapy; combination products. Its strategy is to strengthen its position in manufacturing — increasing output and confirming its reputation as a producer of high-quality medicines.
